Barack Obama is getting a “souped-up, high security BlackBerry for use in and around the White House and during presidential travel.” The device is a BlackBerry 8830 World Edition, with some incredible security tweaks to make sure Kim Jong Il isn’t listening in on his conversations.
Washington-based Genesis Key developed the special security software for Obama’s new 8830, called SecureVoice, which will presumably run alongside the traditional BlackBerry OS. Officials from the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA), the White House Communications Agency (part of the Pentagon’s Defense Information Systems Agency), Research In Motion (RIM) and Genesis Key all collaborated on Barack Obama’s presidential BlackBerry.
The security software was designed to provide access to NSA top secret information. In order for the BlackBerry to access this information, which is the highest grade of security classification, the software was required to be incredibly robust. The software not only works on Obama’s BlackBerry, but is compatible with any 8830 or BlackBerry Curve 83xx. This does not mean it will be available to consumers, but rather it’s needed to be able to communicate with other SecureVoice enabled devices.

Featuring a tooling reminiscent of last year’s LunarTrainer and Lunaracer, Nike Sportswear is set to release the Lunar Mariah on April 25th at 21 Mercer in New York.
The original Air Mariah, which was comprised of the upper of the Nike Eagle combined with full-length Air, was developed in 1980 as a lightweight racing shoe and was a part of their line throughout the ’90s. This updated take on the shoe features Nike’s latest in cushioning, Lunar Foam, and updated upper materials to create an ever lighter and more cushioned version of the running classic.
Damon Dash, one of hip-hop’s biggest moguls, has stood the test of time and has recently released his newest creation, a blingy Range Rover called the “Tiret Sport Coupe,” which draws inspiration from his Tiret’s diamond timepieces line. Based on the Range Rover Sport, the luxury 2-door SUV is available with custom watch dial displays derived from Tiret’s diamond timepieces, as well as an elegant central clock. The vast range of bespoke exterior options include wider flared arches, LED lighting, 22-inch LSE alloy wheels and a full panoramic glass sunroof. The Tiret Sport Coupe was recently unveiled at Swiss watchmaker’s expo Baselworld alongside Tirets opulent bejewelled timepieces. The price is available on special request.
Nike’s innovative flywire technology is taking the shoe game by storm, and you can expect to see it used on plenty of shoes in the future, including this pair of Nike Air Max+ 2009. The Nike Foamposite made a comeback in 2008 with several House of Hoop releases, and plenty of attention was payed to the Nike Foamposite 1 - Eggeplant. Slated to release next month at Footlocker’s House of Hoops is this pair of Nike Foamposite One, which sport a pearl white upper, black shoe lacing tabs / tongue, and blue accents. Finishing off the shoe is the translucent outsole, a feature that is certainly loved by sneaker fanatics.
