DJ Benzi - Get Right Radio Summer 2009

Two days ago, I was discussing music & mixtapes & I told a friend that summer wasn’t officially official until certain DJ’s dropped their tapes. Specifically, Benzi’s summer installment was one I mentioned. And now here we are.

“The long awaited release of “Get Right Radio: Summer 2009 Edition” is finally here! This go round Star Trak’s own, Chester French, are in for hosting duties and are also contributing a couple of their new joints. the mix is packed with 50 tracks - all mixed and mangled in typical Benzi fashion. Besides the expected “Benzi Refixes” there’s plenty of exclusives and new joints by everyone from Wale and the Kings of Leon to 30h!3 featuring Mike Posner and Kid Cudi! This is another instant classic and you can receive your own free CD (just pay shipping) by clicking the Paypal button below!”

For the first time, there’s a tracked out version that, if you burn it in iTunes as a playlist, there should be no “clicks” in between tracks.

Hit the break for the tracklisting & links.

BeamBox outs MiLi Evolution Mini Power Projector for iPhone, iPod touch

Really BlackBerry come on do this

Pocket projectors -- if they aren't quite 'all the rage' -- crop up all over the place these days. Beambox has teamed up with MiLi (makers of some fine iPhone chargers) on this newest one. The MiLi Evolution Mini Power Projector works in conjunction with your iPhone or iPod touch, docking it into the unit which then acts as projector and charger in one. The LCOS projector boasts 10 lumens of brightness for VGA projection of an image from 3 to 70 inches. It'll be about $255 when it's released around the end of July. One more shot after the break.

Carnivorous Clock eats bugs, begins doomsday countdown

all imma say is wtf really not a good look for year 3000 haahah

It's not enough that humans gave robots a place to congregate to plan our demise, now we've adapted them with the ability to extract fuel from the very nectar of life. All that innocent experimentation with fuel cells that run on blood has led to this, a flesh-eating clock. This prototype time-piece from UK-based designers James Auger and Jimmy Loizeau traps insects on flypaper stretched across its roller system before depositing them into a vat of bacteria. The ensuing chemical reaction, or "digestion," is transformed into power that keeps the rollers rollin' and the LCD clock ablaze. The pair offers an alternative design fueled by mice, another contraption whose robotic arm plucks insect-fuel from spider webs with the help of a video camera, and a lamp powered by insects lured to their deaths with ultraviolet LEDs. Man, this is so wrong it has to be right.
