 When the Air Structure Triax retro running shoe dropped last summer I was one of many people stoked to see it’s return, especially the Berry Colorway. Now Nike brings us the Nike Air Hoop Structure, a basketball version of the classic runner. Maybe it’s because I’ve seen enough Fusion’s to lace a small army sitting on the shelves of retailers for the past few months, or maybe I’m just getting old, but I’d love to see Nike continue without defacing classic kicks. Build off the performance packed Hyperdunk rather than an old running shoe. Just because Toyota’s Prius is somehow the greatest thing on the face of the earth, doesn’t mean that hybrid sneakers are.
